Hassle Free Packing Techniques

Moving can be very stressful, especially the part where you have to pack all your belongings. If you own so much stuff, you may feel that the idea of the tiring packing experience would be enough to make you stay. However, as much as you know you need to relocate to your new home, you also know that you need to pack your things. Fortunately, with some helpful techniques, you can make the task of packing as hassle free as possible.

It is wise to schedule the start of your packing at least two weeks before the move. This is to allow you to take care of some other responsibilities such as work, your kids’ school transfer needs and searching for the right moving company to help you with relocating your furniture and belongings. This is also better than scheduling one or two days of packing because this task can be really tiring and boring for the children. Thus, allow yourself two to three hours a day within two weeks for packing. It is also wise to start your packing with the stuff in the attic and the off season items. Attic items are usually the ones rarely used and thus they are easier to pack. Also, pack items that are off season. For example, if it is summer, pack woolen clothes, quilts, blankets, and jackets as they are not the ones you will most likely disturb once packed.

To lessen the burden of packing and earn money the same time, it is wise to set up a garage sale. Sell items that you are no longer using as well as furniture that you think you won’t need in your new house.
